FAQs

Below you’ll find answers to the most frequent questions we get asked about our company and the services we provide.

How long have you been in business? Are you Insured and Bonded?

V.I.C. Pet Care was started in 2010 by Vicki Bonilla. We are a professional pet sitting company fully insured and bonded to give our clients a peace of mind.

What type of pet’s do you care for?

We care for all your critters from tails to scales. We have several pet sitters on our team that were zoo keepers in the past and are completely comfortable with your pets from snakes, hermit crabs, rabbits to fish. Our owner Vicki even has a bearded dragon named Lizzy☺ We are excited to hear what critters you have at home.

What should I do after a Meet and Greet?

Please make sure the client portal is updated within 24 hours of the Meet and Greet. This ensures the Pet Sitters have all the access needed to care for your Pet from access to property to how much your pet should be fed. This will make the visit run smoothly and efficiently. If you are an existing client, please keep all your information current as well.

How will you access my house?

We prefer not having keys on hand. For a fee of $15.00 you can purchase a Lock Box from V.I C Pet Care, or you can purchase one and provide the lockbox code to us. Also, you can provide the garage code or the keypad code on your door if you have one. We require two ways to enter the house in case electricity is lost/batteries die and we need entry to care for your pets.

How far in advance do I need to book pet sitting or dog walking services?

The earlier you book, the more time we have to accommodate your requests, especially around holidays, summer vacations and spring breaks. We do charge a $10, 48hr reservation fee for last minute requests..

Can you administer medications?

V.I.C. Pet Care has experienced veterinary technicians that are familiar with all your pet’s medical needs. We offer nail trims, gland expression, fluid therapy for pet’s with kidney issues, insulin injections & glucose checks for diabetic pets, post-surgery care, clean and medicate for ear infections, oral and topical medications, bandage changes, medicated baths and much more…. all in the comfort of your own home.

How can I communicate my pet’s feeding and medication changes?

Please update the portal to reflect the feeding and medication changes under Pet Details. It is so important that any little change to routine is updated in the portal. It ensures our sitters are spending the whole visit taking care of your pets.

How can I communicate with the pet sitter?

At the bottom of the email feedback you receive from the pet sitter their email address is listed. Email is the best way to get the quickest response/resolution. Feel free to text or call Vicki or Lynne anytime as well.

How do you ensure your sitters have done my visit or are on route to my visit?

We have GPS tracking on our pet sitters/dog walkers & they check in & check out at each visit.
